Hey Everyone,
Got my first McDonald’s Happy Meal (in a VERY LONG time) but I had to have it because they started including Pokemon toys inside!! Above is my new Oshawott, it’s a bobble-doll. They’ll only have these Pokemon figures and cards available until July 7th so if you’re thinking about adding to your collection, better get over to your local McDonald’s. Check out the official Pokemon site for more information or visit the YouTube page for the commercial!

Looks like Pokemon is starting to heat up on the Nintendo 3DS. Earlier this week, owners of the portable 3D gaming device we given the free 3D Pokedex. As if that wasn’t enough, now there’s word that the 2009 WiiWare game Pokemon Rumble (Pokemon Scramble in the UK) will be coming to the Nintendo 3DS in July (Japan first). The new game is titled Super Pokemon Rumble (how clever). No word exactly on when to expect Super Pokemon Rumble to show up stateside or in the UK but rest assured, it’s coming!
What do you think, is this a good move for the 3DS? Did you play the original WiiWare game? Will you get it for the 3ds??

Nintendo announced their long-rumored new console the Wii U. As expected, it is HD and backwards compatible with all existing Wii games. Along with the new console (is it a new console?) comes an incredible new Wii U controller. If there’s one thing that Nintendo does well is innovate in the game play area. The idea of 2 screen gaming in the living room is *very* exciting. One gamer holding the Wii U controller and accessing an entirely different aspect of the game while the main user is interacting with items on screen. It’s a brilliant concept.
The New Nintendo Wii U Controller
And while this is huge for Nintendo it reminds me of how they announced the original Wii. At that E3, they showed a brand new console that was innovative and offered brand new game play mechanics but they only showed the possibility of what is to come rather than show us what we can expect. Nintendo is a great hardware company but they are a much better software company – so why not show off Mario on the Wii U?
So, what do you think of this announcement? Will you Wii U at launch?

From the Official Nintendo Magazine in the UK:
You’ll be able to download Pokédex 3D next week for free when the Nintendo 3DS eShop launches. It enables you to view the Pokémon from Pokémon Black and White in 3D and read all their essential details.
You’ll also be able to use Augmented Reality Markers to watch them come to life and take a 3D photo of them. You can see the Markers in these screenshots.
It’s not clear how these Markers will be distributed but you will be able to get posters in the August issue of Official Nintendo Magazine which goes on sale on 7 July.
Are you going to download Pokédex 3D?
