Is Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness Coming to the Nintendo 3DS? Are you excited about this (possible) announcement?
Remember a few days ago when we published an article about a big mystery Pokemon game announcement coming in May? Well, it looks like some rabid fans have been able to piece these clues and are stating that the next big Pokémon gaming coming out will be Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness for the Nintendo 3DS. This game came out originally for the GameCube a few years back. It was a great Pokemon game and if they update this for the 3DS then I can only thing that this will be a huge hit. The good thing is that we won’t have to wait long as May starts in 2 days

Japanese website Geimin.net has a list of the top thousand selling games during 2010, based on Media Create data. On the the list, there was one game that stands out. It’s an oddity of sorts.
There were 291 Nintendo DS games that made the top thousand, 288 PSP games, 176 PS3 games, 108 Wii games, seventy-six Xbox 360 games, sixty PS2 games and one Game Boy Advance game.
Yes, one Game Boy Advance game. And it wasn’t even number one thousand, but rather, number 779. With a bullet.
The game was Pokémon Emerald, which was originally released in September 2004 in Japan. The game sold 7,724 copies in 2010, which is actually more than Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles, MadWorld and Pro Evo 2010 (Xbox 360) version sold. Ouch.
According to the official Japanese Pokémon site, the Victini to be distributed in Japan starting tomorrow will know three event-exclusive moves, two of which are the signature moves of Reshiram and Zekrom – Fusion Flare and Fusion Bolt, respectively. In other news, a C-Gear skin featuring Victini will be made available on the Japanese Pokémon Global Link to commemorate the movie as well.

I’ve been playing around with the PokemonTGC Beta to see if it’s any good and let me tell you right off the bat that it is great! If you’ve ever wondered how to play the Pokemon Trading Card game, then this is the game for you. You get all of the experience without having to actually own the decks. As you play and learn, you will get better. Evetually you are going to want to play other people and of course BUY your own decks. (You will want to find a local Pokemon Tournament happening near you).

The official Pokemon.com site has a great post outlining the 8 steps needed to get Zorua in Pokemon Black Version or Pokemon White Version. Here’s an example of what you need to do:

A user on YouTube has uploaded video footage of the upcoming “Pokemon TCG Online” program, which debuted at the PAX East convention in Boston this past weekend. The most striking feature revealed is that the program, like the old Gameboy game, performs all the actions for you – when you play Copycat, for example, the program shuffles your hand into your deck, detects how many cards are in your opponent’s hand, and then draws that amount. However, it must be noted that the beta version of the program is what debuted at the convention; it is unknown if the full version of the program will feature this same functionality since all Modified format cards will be in it (whereas with a demo / limited version, only certain cards are included, allowing the actions to be programmed more easily). Either way, the program is beyond impressive and will surely be the new way to play the TCG online!
I say happy “day” because I was not able to make it to the 2 midnight launches last night due to going to a play with my family (we saw Wicked and it was great!). My local GameStop here in Clermont, FL said that there were over 70+ people at both locations – that’s awesome! Thank goodness I had printed up some WorldOfPokemon.com bookmarks for them to give out at both stores! I’m looking forward to adding some local friends to the site and to battle with too!
