One Piece voice actor shows off tattoos on blog, gets arrested

You know Emporio Ivankov, that really, really creepy guy with the Rocky Horror Picture Show fetish from One Piece? Well, it turns out that his creepy factor apparently extends outside the boundaries of the character he voices. According to ANN,  Emporio’s voice actor, Norio Imamura, thought it would be a good idea to post some rather … ahem, unsavory photos of himself on his blog from the waist down. Imamura runs a bar called Toh in Tokyo’s Shinjuku ward, where tattoo enthusiasts are encouraged to come hang out. It’s not a yakuza thing, we swear. (Actually, it could be. Maybe).
 
Anyway, the 56 year old voice actor was arrested by police on Monday for posting blog photos of his own tattoos. He claimed that he just wanted to show readers that he had finished tattooing his entire body. Sureeeeee, Norio. He claims he spent between 4 and 5 million yen on the tattoos. I’m sure that is true, but why doesn’t Japan learn that blog photos can get you in trouble? I’m sure we all remember the Miku Natsume incident with the condom. Maybe next time, Imamura will save his proud tattoo exhibition for the shadowy corners of his bar.
