Bangiras has translated the nine new Dark Rush cards that were revealed in the new TCG commercial during Thursday’s episode of Best Wishes in Japan. As predicted, Volcarona is a reprint of the promo you can get when you buy a booster box of the set. Other cards shown in the commercial, like Darkrai EX, Krookodile, and Zoroark, were already revealed previously, and the Mandibuzz in the set was already released in our Emerging Powers set.

Various stores across the United States have been releasing Emerging Powers merchandise early. The expansion is officially set to release on Aug. 31, with the theme decks releasing on Aug. 17; however, with this early distribution, the set and deck lists have been revealed to the public. The set brings together many leftover cards from the Japanese Beginning Set, Black & White Collections, Battle Strength Decks, and many promotional cards, in addition to providing over a dozen currently English exclusive cards. Six new cards have been revealed from Red Collection: holographic Victini, Hydreigon, and Haxorus as well as Axew, Bisharp, and Litwick. Remember, Red Collection will be released in Japan on July 15th and will bring the remaining fifth generation Pokemon to the TCG!

The six “BW Battle Theme Deck Victini” holo cards have been revealed in full; as mentioned before, the deck can be split into two thirty card decks named “Victini Coin Toss Deck” and “Victini Formation Deck.” The package will come with 10 Energy, 10 Trainers, and 20 Pokemon for a total of 40 cards. To make each 30 card deck, you use 10 of the Pokemon with the 10 Trainers and 10 Energy, meaning you cannot have both 30 card decks built at the same time. CoroCoro magazine has also revealed a Tynamo and Blitzle card that will be included in the decks as well!

Some booster packs of Black & White contain an additional card with a unique code that grants early access to the full version of the Pokemon Trading Card Game Online program. The full version allows players to battle each other online rather than just computer opponents, so this is an awesome opportunity to try out the full version before its fall release. A scan of a code card’s front and back is below courtesy of Baby Mario.
Not only will the cards activate the full program, but each code also “grants accounts access to pre-populated inventory on loan from TCG Online for the duration of the closed beta so that players can build decks and play. Each additional code redeemed will grant additional product for testing.” In other words, the more codes you enter, the more cards you will be able to use in your decks during the beta period (from now until fall).
