There is big trouble in little Sabaody Archipelago for the Straw Hats as the marines attempt to collect the Straw Hats’ bounties. However, these new overpowered Straw Hats are no match for the pathetic marines at this point. Will they finally meet up and move on, or will One Piece now only take place on Sabaody Archipelago and become a buddy cop show?
The Good
Hot damn, I’m just going to go ahead and say it: Rayleigh is a bad ass. He understood that Luffy and crew must move on, so he decided to join the battle and hold off the marines as they escape; and seriously, who would want to cross that man? This doesn’t seem to help Luffy out much for they are once again surrounded by another marine unit. However, this time our sexy friend Perona stepped in to help them out. In fact it appears as if the crew is getting help from the side characters that trained the crew during the time skip.
Finally the band is back together, the Straw Hat Pirates have reunited! Best part is Sanji soon realizes Luffy’s fate over the past two years, and has a heart attack. The reunion is cut short once they realize that there are tons of marines out there that want them dead, so they decided to set sail and dive toward Fisherman Island.
The Bad
You would think that the marines have a way of submersing their ships as well, but from the looks of it I don’t think they do.
The Verdict 4/5
I’m overjoyed that the crew is back together, and they are finally ready to start the adventure again. But what will happen when they reach Fisherman Island? Will they have to help defend or rescue the fishermen from the Celestial Dragons? Will Arlong be there? Or is this just going to be a pit stop on their way to bigger and better things?

Welcome to One Piece chapter 601 everyone! 601 chapters have already passed and it doesn’t even feel like we are anywhere near the finish line. One Piece truly is this generation’s epic. Anyways, last time the Straw Hats have finally decided it was time to sail away and start their adventure by meeting up at grove #42. Will they have smooth sailing, or will the marines crash their reunion?
==TEASER==
The Good
Before the fake Luffy–whose real name is actually “Three-Tounged Demalo Black”–can punish the real Luffy for getting in their way, the marines arrive to arrest them all. By the way, I hope to god in the future we don’t learn that Demalo’s real name isn’t “Three-Tongued D. Emalo Black” or something along those lines. Anyways, because these pirates have the combined IQ of 6, a fight almost instantly breaks out, resulting in an attack by the insanely powerful Pacifistas. Demalo attempts to escape, but is stopped by more Pacifistas and Sentomaru himself. Sentomaru is the only person with intelligence here, and quickly disposes of Demalo seeing him as the fake he is. I know we have all been waiting for Luffy to take him out, but this works just as nicely.
However, Sentomaru knows the real Luffy is present, and quickly sends his goons after him. Luffy then shows us the results of his training, defeating a Pacifista all by himself with one hit. Zoro and Sanji then show up, and defeat another Pacifista with one hit as well. They have truly become monsters. Luffy notices Rayleigh watching the battle and thanks him for his two years of training. Then he drops the Pirate King line, which we haven’t heard in quite some time. You go girl.
The Bad
Has anyone told you that you are using the ax wrong Sentomaru? You could have just cut off Demalo’s head and been done with it, isn’t that the point of carrying an ax in the first place? It doesn’t matter now I suppose, he will suffer in Impel Down.
The Verdict 3/5
This is killing me! They have almost formed their crew, but haven’t yet. I feel like this is being a little drawn out, but I’m sure it will be worth it in the end. However, before Luffy and the others can move on they must defeat Sentomaru first. I’m sure he won’t be a problem for them now, but you never know, he may use his ax the right way this time.

If you remember correctly, the Straw Hats have not fully gathered together yet, but are on the same island. Last chapter we where reintroduced to Franky and Zoro, and both have wet our appetite for more. Also “tight defense” Sentomaru is on his way to crash the party with his giant axe. Will the crew come together before he attacks, or will he be the next member to join the crew?
The Good
Right off the bat we see Chopper running away from the fake Straw Hat crew in an attempt to find the fake Robin. In his reindeer form one can easily tell that he has aged, almost looking like an adult reindeer, though I’m no zoologist. Not only that, but we see Franky with his old hair back! It’s almost as if Oda has been reading the request from fans and have been changing the manga to help appease some of them.
The Straw Hats are gradually coming together, but haven’t fully combined to form their amazing team yet. But it will happen soon, and the place they will all meet I suspect will be grove #42. Luffy has been tricked by the fake Straw Hats to come to their crew gathering at grove #46. Here rookies have come from all over to join the Straw Hats, and from a bounty perspective they are all pretty powerful. Like the super rookie brothers, who have a bounty that came relatively close to Luffy’s pre time skip bounty.
Even though we all know Luffy could probably take them all himself now, he might still get some assistance for the Straw Hat crew when they meet up with Luffy. Rayleigh instructed the Straw Hats to move the ship to grove #42, which might be near Luffy’s location, or they just might meet him there. All I know is that there is going to be some whoop ass next chapter.
The Bad
I was hoping something special was going to happen in this 600th chapter, but it was just business as normal with Oda, oh well. And I’m still surprised that the fake crew are still alive, Zoro needs to snap, and soon!
The Verdict 3/5
Even though I keep on saying it, this crew is going to finally meet up this next chapter! They have to! Though at the least the entire crew minus Luffy will meet up. Perhaps even Luffy by himself will take care of the entire pirate gathering at grove #46, one can dream. As Rayleigh stated, it’s finally time to restart!

The bands back together! Well, to be honest they are not back in each other’s arms yet, but they are on the same island, so that counts. After two years away its finally time to see how our favorite pirate crew has grown. We have yet to see Zoro or Franky’s post time skip form, let’s take a look at how they changed.
The Good
Last chapter we left as Luffy and the fake Luffy encountered each other in the streets of Sabaody Archipelago. Of course Luffy is a swell guy so he doesn’t really care too much about this fake piece of trash and apologizes and moves forward. However, once the fake Luffy fires his gun at him, well all bets are off. Luffy uses his haki to overwhelm the crew, forcing them to pass out; much like what Shanks did when he paid a visit to Whitebeard.
Robin and Franky meet up at our friend Thousand Sunny, which still looks the same as we remember it. Franky has gotten humongous compared to his last “model”. Not only has he gotten huge, but he appears more robotic now than before, which makes me happy. Hopefully his new arms give him a big boost in firepower that has been in store for him for awhile now. Though it also appears as if he can remove those arms and install different ones, like a giant drill for example (a man can dream right?).
On the other side of the island Sanji meets up with Zoro, who fell asleep on the wrong pirate ship which just so happened to be descending into the ocean. Sadly it appears as if everyone on the ship perished as Zoro sliced the entire thing in half while it was entirely underwater. Oh well, we finally see Zoro who does in fact have both of his arms, but one of his eyes (though this time the scar is on his other eye). In conclusion, Zoro is still badass.
The Bad
A part of me wished Luffy would give that impersonator a beat down so bad that it would rip through the page and slap you in the face; something like that. But Luffy isn’t a bad guy, so I can understand.
The Verdict 3/5
The crew hasn’t met up yet, but they better soon for Sentoumaru and his robotic friends are on their way to break up this party. Will Luffy be able to break through his iron defense, or will the bad guys kill another one of Luffy’s relatives? I assume it should be in the next chapter, but the crew are too spread apart it seems. I have a feeling they are all going to see each other during the battle that will surly rage as soon as the marines make their appearance.

One Piece is back! We all survived through four weeks in hell without One Piece. During this time two years has passed within the story, giving the heroes and enemies time to evolve into something else completely. It is time to begin the second half of One Piece, but will it be as wonderful and exciting as the last? Let’s find out.
The Good
Things has undoubtedly changed for the One Piece crew, like their appearances and their powers, but when all is said and done they are the same characters we first fell in love with. Overall the crew looks a great deal older than their previous incarnations, especially their appearances from earlier in the manga. But best of all Usopp has become a man! He will be taking Zoro’s position in no time. Other than that Zoro has lost an eye (and maybe an arm), Franky has a new Hulk Buster cyborg body, the girls’s breasts have become bigger, Sanji has finally had his puberty and now has awesome facial hair. Though Chopper and Brook are relatively the same. Also back to Sanji, his other eye is showing now, but his eyebrow spiral is still on the left side of his eye. No wonder he only shows one eye.
The Straw Hat crew is now gathering together at Sabaody Archipelago for their big reunion. However, so far most have all went their separate ways as they are slowly being readjusted to civilized life. Sabaody has changed in these last few years, with more rookies showing up ready to enter the New World as well. One of them in particular is giving the Straw Hats a very bad name, and those are in fact pirates pretending to be the Straw Hats. I really don’t know how anyone can fall for that, seeing as they look nothing alike; but hey, even Schwarzenegger is fat now.
But these new pirates are barely a threat to the new Straw Hat crew; hell even Nami can mop up most of them. They will be dead next chapter for sure after they feel the pain of Luffy’s wrath, or Luffy will ask them to join the crew–either way.
The Bad
Of course there can’t be anything bad with the return of One Piece! Well, besides them not showing Zoro or Franky in this chapter. I’m also a little disappointed that Chopper did not appear to be a little older, like a teenager reindeer or something.
The Verdict 5/5
So far, so good. The story is being set up for a big reunion, which should happen next chapter, or at most the chapter after that. But for sure we will be seeing Zoro and Franky next time, and who knows, maybe there will be a new crew member waiting there as well? After all I find it hard to believe Zoro got there on his own without someone to guide him. I can’t wait for next chapter.
