Last week Naruto himself was out of action, but lucky for us we had Guy sensei in his place. The fight between himself and Kisame is over, with Guy taking the win with a giant tiger head he created with his fists alone. However, Kisame escapes after bitting his own tongue off and overpowering his shackles, but will he come out victorious?
The Good
Kisame is not giving up yet, even though he’s a bad guy and really only cares about himself, he will not hand information about Akasuki over to the good guys no matter what. Like before any death in anime, we are given a flashback about the dead man’s life. Here we see Kisame and Itachi share their first conversation together. Kisame warns Itachi that he will have no problem betraying him and eating him for dinner, yet Itachi doesn’t really care; I wouldn’t either if I was Itachi.
So after the flashback is over, we all have a pretty good idea knowing what fate awaits our shark ninja friend. When surrounded by enemy ninjas with nothing else to do, of course there is only one thing to do, and that is to feed yourself to a pair of your own summoned sharks! Kisame doesn’t want anyone to know any of his information, so the only way to keep it safe was to kill himself. However, he had one final thing up his sleeve, and that my friends was the scroll. When opened it trapped everyone in a water prison with their own personal shark, leaving the scroll to be carried away by a shark in it’s own water prison. With that the shark swims out to sea and the enemy wins, great.
The Bad
What the hell? How can a shark swim through the air in a water prison? When Kakashi was stuck in one he wasn’t bouncing all over the place, but stuck in one spot. If you were going to do something as stupid as that, why not just go all out and give the sharks wings made out of water? Or just get the eagles from Lord of the Rings to pick up the shark and deliver the scroll that way. But come on, don’t have the sharks swim through the air. What’s even more pathetic is that Naruto couldn’t even stop it from escaping. With all his power he couldn’t stop one silly shark, how the mighty have fallen.
The Verdict 3/5
The chapter ends with the big baddie confronting Nagato, who has almost done nothing throughout the entire series, so we should be excited that next chapter we will be seeing a fight with her in it. Though her death is an almost given, sorry Nagato fans. The question on all of our minds is if the shark will truly escape and inform someone of their hideout, or if somehow the scroll had been swapped, or Naruto jumps on his frog and stops it from leaving. I predict it will escape, because it wouldn’t be interesting if their wasn’t any drama.

Last time on Dragon Bleach Z, Kurosaki Ichigo had just returned from his training in the Room of Time and Space, ready to bring the hurt to Aizen. As he fantastically showed us, Ichigo isn’t playing around anymore, easily able to pick him up by the face and remove him from the scene. Will Ichigo cut off Aizen’s head and we will finally have an end to Bleach, or does Aizen have more in store for us?
The Good
Aizen isn’t onboard the Ichigo is awesome train yet, and he isn’t impressed with this new found power either. He tells Ichigo that he knows why he doesn’t have reiatsu, and that’s because he threw it away and transformed it into physical strength. Aizen scoffs at this upgrade and shows Ichigo with his sword just how powerful he truly is. Ichigo isn’t impressed, and easily dodges his blow. But not only that, he also stops Aizen swing by catching his sword, WITH HIS HANDS! Yes, Ichigo just won God Len’s bad ass of the day award with that alone. However, when it comes to blocking swords with hands the all time winner is of course Goku blocking Trunk’s sword with his fingers alone.
For once Aizen gets freaked out, and is actually scared at what Ichigo has become. He retreats away and decides to use his magic to harm Ichigo. This unfortunately doesn’t work either, as Ichigo proclaims that he is now stronger than Aizen. HURRAY! With that Ichigo slices Aizen, but leaves us high and dry there. Will Aizen be killed due to that last strike, or was Ichigo actually attacking Hinamori again?
The Bad
Aizen is not dead. Also, I wonder what kind of problems Ichigo will now face due to his reiatsu now being transformed into physical power. Will this hurt him in the long run? Why is this such a mysterious idea when Aizen easily figured it out?
The Verdict 4/5
The fight continues, and Ichigo is winning; can I ask for more? I enjoy watching Aizen finally have his back to the wall, suffering. For far too long he has done everything according to plan, and it feels great to see him scared. But no matter how much I desire it, this isn’t going to be the end to Aizen. There will be another transformation, either something that exceeds both shinigami and hollow, or perhaps we will finally see his bankai. Either way Ichigo isn’t out of the woods yet.

Last week we had the rematch of the century, Guy vs. Kisame. Well, not really the rematch of the century, more like a fight we have all been somewhat waiting to see happen sometime in the future. Well it’s here, promising us a conclusion in this issue. Like any shonen death match, its ends with the two combatants launching “fireballs” against each other, but this time the fireballs are giant animals. Will Guy be victorious, or will Naruto have bigger problems on hand other than his sprained ankle?
The Good
Well it appears as if Guy’s super move is in fact a giant tiger head that creates an enormous shockwave that destroys everything in its path; AWESOME! He even goes on to say that it isn’t a ninja technique but a combat move, like a punch. I don’t know how that works, but that’s amazing! “That’s not my motorcycle officer, that’s just the way I walk!” As you can imagine, Kisame did not fair too well against the power of unrestrained youth.
Kisame then easily gets captured, and has an interrogation moments later. However, unlike a normal legal interrogation, a ninja can just enter your mind as if it was a KFC, and Kisame’s KFC is as depressing as one in the real world. Kisame seems to have been tricked a majority of his life, since Madara has been controlling his boss for quite some time now. He realizes that this world is nothing but lies. But before he could see Madara’s face, Kisame bites his own tongue off breaking the interrogation. With that he Hulks out and the fight is on again, but will he be able to do anything this time?
The Bad
Poor Naruto still has his sprained ankle, do something already! Also, Guy really needs to flip out and destroy Kisame for good; hell he already had his flashback, that means anything is game.
The Verdict 3/5
I hope Guy finishes the fight next chapter, and I hope it isn’t just more of Guy’s beam spam. What needs to happen is a return to real combat arts, the one where he punches and kicks people to death. Also, Kisame is pretty screwed now that everyone of power is standing a few feet from him; I don’t believe he is going to survive this.

Recently no one has been safe in the world of Bleach. With an almighty and powerful Aizen on the loose, nothing, and I mean nothing has been able to stop him. Even when his own subordinate Gin stabs him in the heart, it does nothing to hurt Aizen. However, things have changed now that Ichigo has arrived, but is he too late, is Aizen just too powerful right now?
The Good
I really, really, really hate Aizen. No matter what the story throws at him, no matter what the most powerful characters throw at him Aizen will always get up and laugh. Nothing can hurt him, and everything always goes according to his “plans”. Finally after 417 chapters things did not go as planned by Aizen, and it feels so damn amazing. Ichigo is back, and he is back with a new haircut and a new outlook in life, and that is of course to kick Aizen’s ass. When we all saw his arrival we had our doubts about his new power up, but when he grabbed Aizen by the face and picked him up as if he was nothing, well all doubts were forgotten.
I really haven’t felt this good about a Bleach chapter in a long time. I know when it comes to shonen, seeing a main character beat the shit out of an enemy is an everyday occurrence, but it happens so few and far between in regards to Aizen that when it finally happens, it is amazing. Basically, it’s the Tantric sex of Shonen Jump.
The Bad
Yes, I know Aizen will comeback even stronger in the chapters to come, but I hope to God that Ichigo will be able to battle him evenly from this point on. Also this chapter was waaaay to short.
The Verdict 5/5
Kubo, you made me a very happy man, and all it took was for you to draw the main character beating up the villain, how simplistic! In the coming chapters I’m sure we will be informed about why Ichigo doesn’t have any reiatsu at the moment, and what he did to become this powerful. Also, I’m positive Aizen is going to put up a hell of a fight after this, but I got my money on Ichigo this time.

As many of you know already, One Piece chapter 597 marks a very important milestone in the One Piece franchise and manga history. We’ve learned about how all but two of the Straw Hat pirates will be training to become stronger, and now its finally time to see how the rest will fare. Let’s jump right in then.
The Good
Not only is this a great chapter story wise, but Oda also gives us plenty of information about the inner workings of One Piece as well. There is so much information to digest, lucky for you we will have plenty of time to comprehend is all. It has been a couple weeks since Luffy sent out his message, and now we finally have the opportunity to understand its true meaning. I have to hand it to Luffy, or Rayleigh, or who ever came up with it because his message was actually pretty clever. Luffy did a lot of stuff that day when he went to Marineford, but really the only thing that mattered was that he got his picture taken, because his message was actually just a tattoo! On his arm were the letters and numbers 3D2Y, with 3D being crossed out. Any Straw Hat pirate should be able to look at that and understand that their previous arrangement of meeting in three days has been canceled, and now it has been pushed back to two years. Enough time for each one to become monsters in their own right, to be ready for the harshness of the New World.
To no surprise Zoro decides that in order for him to become stronger, he will need the best to train him. Thusly he turns to Mihawk for tutelage, though gets a good laugh at the idea of training the man that will someday beat him; but he agrees to do it anyways. Luffy on the other hand will get his training from Rayleigh, and he will be trained on a brutal island known for its bad weather and enormously strong beasts. During this training Luffy will learn how to use Haki, which is a must have in the New World. I’m sure the other Straw Hats will learn how to use this power as well, in one way or another.
The Bad
I’m sure you also know the other news that came with this chapter, and that is One Piece will be taking a four week long vacation, a well deserved one at that. However, no One Piece for four weeks is really like no One piece for two years! It’s almost as if we are experiencing a time skip as well. Though Naruto did the same thing, so its livable. Also I wonder if the tattoo is permanent? I’m not sure if they have sharpies in the world of One Piece.
The Verdict 5/5
Finally One Piece’s time skip is upon us, ready to blow our collective minds apart after the two years have passed. What can we expect after this time skip? Of course everyone is going to be stronger no doubt, that is a given, but what isn’t given is everyone’s appearance. One Piece characters change clothing more than any shonen series, so I’m sure we can expect new clothes. But will things like hair be different? Will Luffy sport a new beard? These things are up in the air, but I welcome Oda to experiment with this.
I can foresee Luffy meeting up with the crew one by one as we see how each member has changed, mirroring his first encounter with the crew members from earlier in the manga. I’m really excited to see how the characters will change, but hope that the concept and feeling of One Piece in whole doesn’t. Many times after a time skip the manga has a drastic change, let’s hope One Piece can overcome this.

One Piece is back, making life worth it once again. In the last chapter we learned more about what the other cool cats are doing in this chaotic world at the moment. We also learned that two members of the Straw Hat crew will be training for the upcoming battles that are sure to push the Straw Hats to their limits in future battles. Will the rest of the crew get this treatment, or will Sanji and Chopper be the only ones to get stronger?
The Good
Thankfully, it isn’t just Sanji and Chopper who are going to get stronger, but the entire crew! This chapter we discovered how the other Straw Hat Pirates will get stronger (minus Zoro), and each will seemingly be a vast improvement over their former selves. Nami is about to become a whole lot more knowledgeable about the crazy weather of the New World, like with that lightning rain business. Not only that, but using the power of the “weather ball” she will have the potential to plunge the entire world into chaos, AWESOME!
Brook on the other hand does not appear to get such an amazing upgrade. However, since he is stuck in a cage with an audience at hand, there is only one thing a musician can do, and that is to make it big! I’m guessing Brook will come out of this as some kind of a rock star with guitar and everything. Robin will give herself up to Luffy’s father Dragon, who I’m assuming will teach Robin how to be a bad ass (finally). This will also give her more information about the New World and Luffy’s father, which should help the crew in the future.
Franky had his face sploded off, so there is a chance that we might see a more bad ass Franky in the future with a new body thanks to Franky’s easy access to Vegapunk’s lab that survived the blast. I also envision him improving Vegapunk’s designs after countless hours of studying them over. Finally Usopp will be getting quite the makeover. Not only does he have to loose like 200 pounds, but he also in theory should get stronger as well. It won’t surprise me if the Usopp we see next is vastly different than the Usopp we know now. Also a new weapon is on the horizon with these instantaneous plants known as pop greens, who knows how he will use them though.
The Bad
I really have no complaints with this chapter, other than I want to read the next one now.
The Verdict 4/5
Now we only have Zoro and Luffy left, and then we will finally understand how this crew is going to be stronger once they meet up and join the new world. If Luffy and Zoro’s stories are covered in the next chapter, then I’m assuming it will be the last one before some kind of time skip, or the last one before they finally meet up. But we won’t know until we read the next chapter. I’M SO EXCITED!

Welcome back from your week off Naruto! Last time we saw the emergence of the new Naruto, with his new powers and everything; yet he is pushed aside for now as we get into a rematch we have all been waiting for: Kisame vs Guy. So what is going to happen this time? Will Guy finish him off, or will the others join in and help him; either way it doesn’t look good for Kisame this time.
The Good
Things are not looking too good for our heroes right now. Last chapter I thought I was pretty much absolutely sure that Kisame was in a world of hurt with all these super powerful ninja in the vicinity of Kisame’s surprise attack, but I was wrong. When push comes to shove, there is only one ninja we can rely on, and that is Might Guy.
Kisame uses the power of confusion to get as far away as possible, so that he can warn the other members of Naruto and Killer Bee’s location. Killer Bee stupidly allows himself to be drained of chakara, giving Kisame enough fuel to power his escape as well. Things really aren’t looking good for our heroes, well that’s until Guy opens the gates and pursues him. Hell, he even summoned the turtle, which I never expected him to do in a million years since that thing is useless.
Now it is Kisame who has the upper hand, being in the ocean and everything. Guy brings is ‘A’ game, but it just might not be enough. However Guy, like any real Shonen hero, decides to put everything into one last attack, but will it be enough to stop Kisame and kill whatever beast has the scroll?
The Bad
ARE YOU SERIOUS NARUTO? A SPRAINED ANKLE? Your life, your village’s life, all your friends’s lives are in danger if the enemy escapes with your location, but you can’t fight because you hurt your ankle? SON I AM DISAPPOINT.
The Verdict 4/5
Any chapter with Guy or Rock Lee automatically get scored higher in my book, because that’s how I roll. It’s interesting to see that Guy seems to be a more of a ranged martial artist than Rock Lee who likes to get down and dirty and do all those crazy flips. I sort of miss that. Anyways, I really have no idea how Guy’s attack is going to fair, but I have a feeling that word is definitely going to escape and the fight will be brought to them. Mark my word!

Welcome back Shonen Jump from your week off! Hopefully you used this week to rest up and get all your stories in tip top shape. (And hopefully Aizen developed some kind of fatal heart disease like Goku.) If you all remember what happened last time, Gin got his ass handed to him by Aizen because it became obvious that the power of the hogyoku will always be with him. Will Gin be killed by Aizen, or will Cell finally absorb him?
The Good
Kubo, you are always keeping me on my toes, and for that I salute you. Gin does not get a second wind like I was hoping, and his poison did not take Aizen out either, in fact Gin had nothing. He was simply slaughtered, torn apart like a piece of paper. We discovered the reason why Gin became a shinigami, and that is to make sure that Rangiku would never cry again. But what exactly happened to her? To me it appears as if she was raped, but a more likely scenario is something in relation to the creation of the hogyoku; maybe a test subject? Despite his futile effort at revenge, Aizen still admitted to showing fear at this sudden attack.
Of course Rangiku shows up a minute too late, unable to help her dying friend. Though that is the least of her problems of course when there is a demi-god standing right behind her. If Gin can’t kill Aizen, there is no way in hell Rangiku would be able to do anything against him, so she is as good as dead. However, right at this last moment Ichigo arrives caring his father on his shoulder, hurray! Though I’m getting deja vu here seeing Ichigo in this pose, or maybe I’m just crazy.
The Bad
Damn it, right when Gin’s character was starting to get interesting he is taken from us! I don’t believe he is dead yet, but with Kubo you never know. (Honestly, I’d rather it be Rangiku than Gin.)
The Verdict 4/5
I’m excited and thrilled that Ichigo is back so quickly, and that we don’t have to sit through another training arc where old man sword explains to Ichigo that he should fight with his heart, and protect his friends, and whatever bullshit that will make him stronger. Though I really shouldn’t be saying that because I’m sure we will see what really happened during his training at a later point during the Ichigo vs Aizen fight. Or we might just find out next chapter. Either way, look forward to a new transformation. Thanks to Naruto now I’m expecting it to be some kind of Super Saiyan rip off. Maybe he can be a Super Saiyan police officer, or a Super Saiyan construction worker so that in the future all Shonen Jump heroes can come together and sing YMCA.

Luffy recently caused quite the ruckus on Marineford when he paid his respects toward his fallen comrades. However, this was not just an act of respect, but a secret message toward his separated crew members. What is this message? No one knows, but the world is heading into the New World, but will the Straw Hats be ready to join them?
The Good
It’s interesting that the story right now is focusing on so many different things, while focusing on nothing at the same time, as if someone is placing all the chess pieces in their correct places before the start of the game. We first get to see all the new rookies pirating and the like in and outside the new world, giving themselves a good foothold before the Straw Hats enter. Also Blackbeard has caused some trouble, especially with sexy Jewelry Bonney, who has been captured by Blackbeard, and now in Marine custody.
What was totally unexpected was the complete 180 turn back to the individual Straw Hat stories, with now some indication that they will in fact spend some time training before heading back to Luffy’s side. Perhaps then the ringing of the bell was an indication of how long they will spend training, like meeting in 16 days, or months. Chopper will spend some time reading over the enormous library of books these savages have acquired; while Sanji will learn how to cook, while doing his best not to be turned into a transsexual. I can only imagine how strong these two are going to get after this “training”, this really is going to be epic.
The Bad
The more I read about the Straw Hats, the more I want them together. But I must be patient, it will be worth it in the end.
The Verdict 4/5
I really wasn’t expecting the story to go back to the Straw Hat pirates again, but knowing now that this is all due to a future training arc, I am overjoyed! (I really do have a soft spot for training arcs where the characters have a crazy training regiment, and then they disappear for some time and come back overpowered.) So I truly believe that once all the pieces are in place, something is going to happen, and I still think that something is a time skip or an event that kicks this party off.

The last chapter sure was a sad one, well a sad one in a good way. We finally got the full story behind Naruto’s inner demon, and the story about the fate of his parents. This was great and everything, but it is time to move on to bigger and better things. Will Naruto finally obtain Super Saiyan level one, or will Sasuke steal the spotlight once again?
The Good
Naruto is back! Not only does he have full control over the foxes powers, but he is also in quite the jolly mood after speaking with his mother. Of course no one believes Naruto, so he decides to showoff his new power by transforming into Super Saiyan Indian Chief, and he can do it whenever he has the desire. Using this new power he can easily see that Kisame is hiding in the sword; as predicted by the profit God Len (pats self on back and blows own horn).
It appears as if Naruto now has some of the abilities of his father in this form, allowing Naruto to teleport. Even though Naruto rocked Kisame’s world, he still escapes. (Thanks to Naruto’s unseemly strong stomping power). However, our favorite hot-blooded teacher Gai happened to be right outside the temple at that very moment; which is a sight for sore eyes. Seeing Gai out there being goofy was totally unexpected, after all the doom and gloom this series has been radiating recently, things like this really help liven the mood. Seriously, Kisame is going to be in a world of hurt, seeing as he has a few top class ninja in the vicinity ready to kick his ass.
The Bad
Even though I really would love to see Gai fight, it would have been just as cool to see the powered up Naruto beat down Kisame instantly.
The Verdict 4/5
The story is up and running at the moment, and it is looking good. It would be nice to know what is happening in the ninja world at the moment, but that can wait for later I suppose. I’m looking forward to seeing Gai rip open all his gates and completely destroy the bastard. I haven’t had any gates open in my life for far too long, and I’m starting to get sad. I hope this isn’t a tease though.

Remember last chapter? Wow! Gin finally turned on Aizen by stabbing him in his evil, evil heart; happy days, right? Supposedly, Gin is the only one to know Aizen’s weakness, a weakness he fully exploited to get close enough to land this deadly blow. However, will Aizen do the expected, and shrug off this attack, or will Gin be the new final boss?
The Good
Ever since Gin laid his eyes on Aizen, he never liked him. This is extremely surprising since most of us thought he was buddy buddy with Aizen up until last chapter. I’m not sure what exactly happened, since this chapter was low on dialogue, but it appears as if Gin witnessed Aizen and his stoner buddies do something to Rangiku, and then get high on some kind of soul society drug; hell if I know. Either way this pissed off Gin to no end.
The Bad
Seriously, Aizen did not die. He did not even come close to dying. All those fantasies I’ve had through out my week never came to fruition. My worst nightmare of Aizen just laughing it off was actually the truth, and it saddens me. Even though Gin ripped the hogyoku out of Aizen, it still did nothing to hurt him. The hogyoku is part of Aizen regardless if it is on him or not. Poor Gin had no idea…
So in the end we see Gin getting his ass handed to him. Well, basically he received a pretty nasty slash across his chest, which seems to be the way people say hello to each other in Bleach, so it might not be deadly.
And for God’s sake why did he have to transform into a butterfly?
The Verdict 2/5
Even though I’m extremely sad that Kubo didn’t pull a fast one on us and make Gin the real bad guy, I’m still hopeful that this might still happen in the future. What about the poison from Gin’s bankai, can that still take effect? Or will Rangiku come around and save Gin at the last minute. You were so close to killing him Kubo, so close.

Its time for us to hear the important piece of information that was hidden from us last chapter. Everyone else got to read it, except for us the readers. But out time has come, and I’m super excited. What has become of Luffy, and how will this message change the story from this point onwards? Let’s find out!
The Good
There was a ton of information stuck within these simple 19 pages during this chapter. This is why I love One Piece, not only does the story revolve around the main characters like we are used to, but they also give us nice status updates about everyone else that are important in this world. So we finally found out what exactly was so shocking about this newspaper article that everyone had their hands on. Basically, Luffy did something he would never normally do. He provoked the Marines by morning the deaths of the heroes who died during the war at Marineford, and also by declaring the end of this era and the start of the next by ringing a ceremonial bell normally used during the New Years holiday. However, this act of war was really just a secret message to Luffy’s crew mates. If I were a gambling man, I believe the message was telling them to meet at the 16th island on the Shabondy Archipelago.
It also appears that everyone and their mothers are moving to the New World, even poor Smoker is going to be transferred there as well, even though he hasn’t done anything significant in some time. In any case, it is time for the Straw Hat crew to join the party as well, because we all know it is going to be a crazy one.
The Bad
I wonder what Oda has in store for our friend Brown Beard. He was introduced after the war, and it appears as if he is now meeting a quick death. It seems stupid to introduce a character that will only appear once in another chapter and then die, or will Oda have more in store for him?
The Verdict 5/5
Because of everything that happened, Luffy’s bounty is going to go through the roof. Hell he just might have a bounty that places him at the same level as a pirate like Whitebeard or Shanks. His crew is slowly coming together, and I believe it won’t be long until everyone reunites and enters the New World. This is a great time to be a fan of One Piece.

Last time on Naruto we had some personal time with our newest favorite Hokage, Minato. Now he has a rampaging Nine Tailed Fox on his hands. However, he soon realizes that the only way to put a stop to it is to seal it into his newly born son, but is it as easy as that?
The Good
The final chapter in this flashback story arc is here, and it sure is an emotional one. *wipes eyes* (I wish Naruto was my son too!) We all knew the outcome of this story, but we didn’t know the details of how he ended up with that outcome. In the end everything turned out as expected, Minato and Kushina sacrificed their lives in order to trap the Nine Tails inside Naruto. Yes I was expecting a little more; however, actually seeing it unfold was very satisfying. It was over emotional, in a good way, and in the end we learned more about why Naruto became the man who he is today.
Another important fact we should all walk away with from reading this chapter is that Naruto’s parents made this sacrifice knowing that their newly born son would have a hard life ahead of him. They knew this wasn’t the best thing to do to their son, but it was the best thing to do for their village. This act was also a little bit selfish, because it allowed Kushina to one day meet her son, which would never happen if the fox was sealed back inside her.
The Bad
Come on fox! You were inches away from Naruto’s face with your claw, couldn’t you put in a little more extra effort and kill Naruto? I almost feel like he gave up, maybe he too was crying a little inside.
The Verdict 5/5
With Naruto now knowing his parents true intentions, and now filled with nothing but love the fox should be his to take and control. But what will happen in the story beyond that is unpredictable. I’m sure Naruto will have a fight scene sometime in the next few chapters to show off this new power. Maybe sharkboy will finally hop out of Killer Bee’s sword. Naruto will then use his new power to destroy him, and Killer Bee and Naruto will get married, something like that.

There is big trouble in little
Karakura town. Two enormously powerful enemies are running loose on an undefended town, with only a couple of teenagers with attitude to help protect it from destruction. Even a powerful shinigami like
Rangiku wasn’t enough to help set back
Aizen and his goon. Will the bad guys continue to chase after the weak, or will
Kubo surprise us all and have something super exciting happen this chapter?
The Good
The day we have all been waiting for is here. The hour of our salvation from Aizen’s treachery draws near!
Gin has finally turned on our collective enemy Aizen! In fact, Gin has been waiting for this day for a very long time now, since he’s the only person to know Aizen’s true weakness. Basically all you need to do is touch Aizen’s sword before complete hypnosis is complete in order to break the spell, how convenient! After breaking the hypnosis, Gin pierces Aizen through the heart with his
bankai, which not only is long and fast, but can release a deadly poison that can break down cells.
Aizen is not looking so hot now that he has a hole growing through his heart, and it is about time. However, will this really be the end of Aizen? What about the hogyoku? Will that be able to close the hole and remove the poison fast enough to save him, or can it just rebuild another heart? Will Gin be the final boss now, or is he really a good guy underneath the cold appearance?
The Bad
What took you so long Gin, couldn’t you have done this while he was sleeping or on the shiter? And if I were him I would not stop with just one stab, cut off his head god damn it!
The Verdict 4/5
Truly an unexpected chapter, though many of you predicted it in advance. I also find it funny that Gin is accused of killing Aizen in the past, and a couple hundred chapters later he tries to kill him again! But what will happen next? Will Aizen shrug it off like nothing? Will Aizen die? Or was it all an illusion? Kubo has taught me never to underestimate the hax power of Aizen.

Straw Hats fates on their separate islands. Each one is in the process of coming home, but none have really left their floating prisons yet; except for
Chopper, but I have a feeling that things might not work out for him as well. Will they get off their islands soon, or will Luffy have to rescue each?
The Good
Things are changing in the world of
One Piece, that’s for sure. During this chapter we were shown some big names in One Piece being told of an important news article about
Luffy that shocks everyone that reads it in some way, yet they don’t inform the reader of what actually was stated.
Robin finds something funny with the article, while
Vivi questions the style of something, so perhaps Luffy had changed his clothing in some way, or maybe a sweet tattoo or eye patch? Good chance this happened because
Marguerite eluded to this last chapter.
It also appears as if they uncovered Luffy’s past, especially his blood line, which doesn’t seem to have any effect on
Dragon. And
Crocodile seems to be flabbergasted, wondering what the hell they are thinking, which is also very surprising. I would really love to put this in the bad section, because a part of me wants to know right now, but another part enjoys the wait, and the non-stop thinking I will be doing until I find out.
The Bad
The Verdict 4/5
So this is what I think. This article as some kind of tie to the revolutionary army, perhaps Luffy declared war against the Marines about his brother’s death, or something along those lines. Though I think better yet, it just might be a public statement of Luffy’s intentions of taking One Piece for himself and becoming the Pirate King. Though in all honesty, I really have no idea.
Though on the other hand, I think I might have an idea of what the letter that was given to
Buggy the Clown was all about? Invitation to become a
Shichibukai! There I said it, prove me right
Oda!
